Clients Want to Feel Understood: Three (3) Things to Know

Dear Law Firm Partner: Every person has the built-in need or desire to be heard, and we are wired to detect understanding. This is why you know immediately when you are in the presence of someone who truly understands you — and when you are not. Of all of my attorney-client relationship needs, the need to feel understood is the most important, because for clients like me it is impossible to feel fully valued, appreciated, approved, liked, or cared for without first confirming that I am understood by you.
